Arab Diaspora, are you thinking of making a career in the construction sector back home?

Well, this is just the right time to go for it.

According to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, construction around the globe is to soar by 67 percent, up from the $7.2Tr to $12Tr by 2020. And the construction growth in the MENA (Middle East & North African) region is forecasted to overtake global growth rates.

Construction spending in the Middle East region is expected to reach $4.3Tr in the next ten years, which is an 80 percent growth rate from now until 2020.

Further to this, the kind of investment the UAE’s construction industry is receiving from the government is praiseworthy and one can easily anticipate the huge number of construction jobs coming up there.

Construction companies in the Middle East have already fastened their seat belts to conquer the skills shortage and are looking forward to hire a large number of professionals to fill in positions like structural specialists, quantity surveyors, planning engineers, cost engineering supervisors, environmental consultant, concrete framework designer etc.

There is lot more to it.

Competition for finding the right managerial workforce in the sector has led to a steep increase in salaries. More and more construction companies are striving for attracting the quality expertise to staff their projects.

And, with an increase in demand of new home buyers and a high number of infrastructure and construction projects in the pipeline, enthusiastic site management personnel and skilled tradesmen can look forward to the Middle East.
