If you are passionate about cloud technologies, AWS is developing the next generation of cloud leaders through our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Commercial Sales Internship Program. The program includes a detailed and structured experience, designed to provide in-depth learning and hands-on experience in Cloud sales and AWS services, as well as the opportunity to deliver long term impact through the assignment of a business project.

This paid internship will give you the chance to take on a unique internship project in our sales organization, enabling you to make a tangible impact and encourage you to build and innovate in the Amazonian way. Alongside this, you will be supported by members of our internship community, and have access to mentoring, learning, and shadowing opportunities to understand customer conversations and how to convert them into new business opportunities. The program includes comprehensive training on AWS services, cloud computing concepts, and hands-on practical exercises to solidify your learning.
The successful candidate will be interested in a career in cloud technology sales with the ability to identify and create new business opportunities that drive and grow AWS footprint with our customers.
Overview of the internship:
. Learn about the AWS solution portfolio (including earning certifications like the AWS Cloud Practitioner) and the Amazon culture.
. Assignment to a business project, collaborating with various team members to innovate.
. Build an understanding of customer pain points, requirements, and potential value that can be delivered by AWS.
. Learn how AWS position solutions to customers relevant to their industry or target market.
. Differentiate and understand various IT roles and responsibilities
. Identify target accounts using market data and industry intelligence.
. Actively penetrate whitespace accounts to provide access for our sales teams.
. Navigate prospective accounts to identify new customer opportunities in a focused market space
. Achieve activity targets from assigned territory or set of accounts.

The Internship has fixed start dates in June/July 2025 and lasts for 12 consecutive weeks.
Applications and Assessment Process:
If successful and selected by the hiring team, you'll be invited for a first virtual interview. If you progress through this stage, you'll then be invited for a final round of interviews consisting of a combination of interviews and case studies, focusing on our Leadership Principles.
