Installation of HVAC units, including electronic and mechanical components- Installation of HVAC ductwork including flexible tubing and sheet metal construction
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units including electronic and mechanical components
- Install or repair fuel and water supply lines
Conserve, install and recycle CFC and HCFC (Chlorflourocarbon family) refrigerants- Install or repair electrical connections to HVAC components
Install or repair HVAC system automation components
Regular maintenance work on cooling units.
Using tools and testing instruments, techncians diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
Installation, replace or repair equipment that has been damaged due to abuse or regular use such as low and high pressure refrigerant lines.
Make adjustment and do calibartions of themostatic controls. When needed, they install new air conditioning.
Inspect and maintain refrigerators and ice machines, and chilled water supply systems.
Air- conditioning technicians also clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors.
They are involved in making plans and designs of new air conditioning systems including their installation and maintenance.
