Al Jazira Football Academy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Coach for our Under 23 squad. The successful candidate will manage and coach the U23 team, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of staff to create an elite performance environment. This role involves contributing to the development and succession planning of young home-grown talent via the academy system.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, motivate, and develop players within the U23 squad, allowing the elite players within the group to achieve their maximum potential.
- Devise technical and tactical training sessions in line with AJ footballing methodology and player needs.
- Ensure cohesion, conflict resolution, and management of individual U23 players.
- Set, monitor, and develop high-quality professional standards and team ethic for the players.
- Implement individual learning plans for players.
- Work in collaboration with all Academy staff.
- Work in line with the strategy agreed by the club.
General Responsibilities
- Adhere to all club policies, health and safety procedures, and safeguarding policies.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct at all times.
- Undertake such other duties as may be reasonable.

Essential
- UEFA / AFC Pro license (must have)
- Experience of working within an elite football environment and/or an Academy structure
- Strong English language skills
- Excellent organisational, communication, and technical skills developed in a similar role
- Competent IT skills
Desirable
- Good level of playing experience
- Coaching and/or Management of Players and Staff within the Professional Development Phase
- Advanced Youth Award
- Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS) Certificate
- Additional language skills, e.g., Arabic, Spanish, French
