Job Description
- Implement inclusive design strategies, ensuring that environments are accessible and usable by people of all abilities, promoting equity and diversity in the built environment.
- Lead in providing expert accessibility solutions and promoting universal design across a variety of projects.
- Oversee technical analysis, and compliance verification, and ensure adherence to relevant accessibility regulations, standards, and universal design principles.
- Manage client relationships, acting as the main liaison to address accessibility and universal design requirements.
- Ensure effective project management, guiding projects from initial design through to completion and statutory approval with a focus on universal design integration.
- Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development in accessibility and universal design.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, engineers, and statutory authorities, to ensure seamless integration of universal design considerations.
- Focus on both business development and delivering technical excellence in all aspects of accessibility consulting, particularly in the promotion of universal design.
- Ensure universal design and accessibility principles are fully incorporated into each phase of the design and construction process.
