Position: In-House Accountant/Bookkeeper ZOHO Books Experience Mandatory
Office Location: Downtown Dubai - near Dubai Mall Metro Station
Role: Part time role hours to be agreed
We're seeking a skilled Accountant/Bookkeeper familiar with ZOHO Books to maintain our financial records and enhance our system's efficiency, as well as support us in developing Zoho Books further. We rely on a meticulous financial system to assist us in monitoring and driving our drive our business forward. Your tasks include accurately recording payments, ensuring timely transactions, and fostering positive relationships with our partners. This role is pivotal in driving our business forward through effective financial management.
Objectives of this role:
Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and assist in future development of how we utilize the Books system.
Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
Comply with national and local financial regulations.
Ensure accurate recording of all transactions and ensuring we are correctly registered to
comply with UAE regulatory submissions e.g. VAT, CTR.
Responsibilities
Ensuring all company transactions are entered correctly into the Books system.
Daily bookkeeping and accurate input and apportionment of entries essential.
Tailor reporting system to meet the demands of the business and its senior staff.
Ensure reconciliation against bank and other balances are effected so that we have up-to-date accurate financial reports.
Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment where required.
Process payments where requested.
Reconcile weekly statement of accounts and related transactions to verify vendor accounts.
Prepare AP aging and reconciliation.
Assist in providing documentation required for internal and external audit.
Handle queries for financial-related transactions e.g VAT
Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry.
Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation.
Generate purchase orders when necessary.
Assist senior financial officers as needed.
Required skills and qualifications
Experience with ZOHO Books software essential
Attention to detail imperative
Associate degree or equivalent accountancy qualification
Strong mathematical skills
Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
Superb time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information.
Experience in accounts payable (or accounts receivable)
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
