Job Description

Growing our team, we are looking for experienced Accountants to join us in Cairo, Egypt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily transactions, manage general ledger accounts, and prepare financial statements (income statements, balance sheets).
  • Analyze financial data and report discrepancies or trends to management.
  • Monitor and categorize income from different revenue streams, including online bookings, travel packages, and offline sales.
  • Track expenses related to commissions, marketing, operations, and other travel service costs.
  • Manage invoices and payments, handle refunds, and track customer payments.
  • Oversee vendor payments and resolve discrepancies with service providers or suppliers.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining budgets, analyzing costs, and forecasting revenue to support financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and industry-specific financial requirements.
  • Assist with tax filing, VAT, GST, or other relevant taxes in the travel industry.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card payments, and cash transactions.
  • Prepare for internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform profit and loss analysis to identify trends, profitability, and performance of various travel services.
  • Generate reports for management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Communicate with clients and vendors regarding financial transactions, inquiries, and disputes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Fluency in English Is a Must
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
