Functional Responsibilities:
- Weekly financial reporting on the project.
- Reporting versus budget with explanation.
- Correct accounting treatment of project transactions citing IFRS and preparing file notes where applicable.
- Cash Flow forecasting of Project and wider business.
- Ensure purchase requisitions and purchase orders are raised by policy and vendors paid on time.
- Track and sign off on change requests.
- Ensure financial items in contract are delivered.
- Focal point for all Project Search financial matters, including MEEZA employees and external parties.
- Developing strong relationship with PMO, vendors etc. and ensuring all parties are aligned on financial matters.
- Sign off on work completion certificates from a finance perspective.
- Process development for new customer billing and collection.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience IT or Construction
- Cost accounting experience.
- Modelling experience and advanced Excel user.
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including experience with some of the following: general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting, invoice processing, vendor management, payment disbursements, billing, invoicing, credit management, collections, asset acquisition, depreciation, asset disposals, or internal controls.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, as well as advanced skills in MS Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work with large volumes of financial data while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
