As an Accountant at Numu Nursery, you will:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records for all nursery operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expenses.
- Prepare Financial Statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring that all records are compliant with financial regulations and standards.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in creating and managing budgets, providing detailed financial forecasts to help guide decision-making and ensure the nursery's financial stability.
- Reconcile Accounts: Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Tax Filing & Compliance: Prepare and submit necessary tax documents, ensuring compliance with local laws and tax regulations.
- Cost Management: Monitor and analyze costs, identifying areas for financial improvement and efficiency.
- Audit Preparation: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditors requests.
- Support Management: Provide financial insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Financial Documentation: Maintain organized financial files, ensuring that all documents are accessible and up-to-date for reference and auditing purposes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team to support the nursery's financial goals, ensuring transparency and integrity in all financial matters.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a nursery, educational institution, or similar environment.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
