Job Description

Financial Management:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions and trading activities. - Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and efficiency.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and review detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance and market conditions

Compliance & Auditing:

  • Must have knowledge of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) & CFT regulations and on boarding.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate and oversee external audits, ensuring that all documentation and processes meet audit requirements.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Manage and review the work of accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.

Strategic Support:

  • Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact the company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting transactions
  • Basic Know-how of AML & CFT on boarding and compliance
  • Prepare budget forecasts
  • Publish financial statements in time
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely bank payments
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Report on the companys financial health and liquidity
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations
  • Qualifications

    • Work experience as an Accountant
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
    • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
    • Experience with general ledger functions
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
    • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
