Accounting and Financial Project Analyst

your Responsibilities will include:

Cost monitoring on monthly bases (rechargeables, cost allocation, Time Sheet monitoring v day rate with Ops Coordinator) training budgets, insurances.

cost control and cost recharge for Africa and Iraq.

Currency control to manage non-USD cash balances and mitigate any negative FX impacts in the PnL.

Be the primary point of contact for all cost control related topics within the local team and the GSS platforms.

Perform analysis of accounting transactions including revenue and costs for each case and prepare monthly reports for the Finance Manager.

Source, build and maintain smooth relationships with key providers and manage their expectations working together with the finance team.

Assist the Regional Finance Manager or other members of the Finance team on relevant Ad Hoc projects as may be deemed necessary.

Prepare all required Journal Vouchers for month end closing.

First point of contact with Assistant Centre and project stakeholders.

Raise final analysis report for the project on monthly basis and whenever needed to the Finance Manager.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP / IFRS), income statement and balance sheet items is a must.

Able to work with a diverse group of people from different backgrounds and culture.

Organized and able to multitask.

High computer literacy, such as in Excel, Word and PowerPoint is expected, whilst prior experience with COGNOS, SUN Systems and/or Vision Excel will be advantageous.

Ability to analyse / solve problems in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking capability and commitment to meeting set deadlines and deliverables.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Flexibility to work after working hours.

Requirements:

BS degree in accounting or related course is required.

CPA, CMA, CIA, Chartered or Certified Accountant or any similar qualification is a must.

Minimum 5 years of public and/or private accounting experience.
