About The Job
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Medicine Specialist/Consultant to join our team. As an Acute Medicine Specialist/Consultant, you will work in our dynamic acute medical unit and provide comprehensive care to patients with various acute medical conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including consultants, emergency department staff, critical care specialists, and other medical specialists.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions promptly and effectively
- Manage in-patient medical cases and ensure appropriate care
- Perform specialized procedures such as lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and pleural aspiration
- Develop and implement patient care pathways to optimize healthcare outcomes
- Provide leadership and guidance within the acute medical unit
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices
Requirements
- Hold a medical degree and specialty qualification in Acute Medicine
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Acute Medicine Specialist/Consultant
- Excellent command of the English language
- Proficiency in using healthcare databases and applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate patient records
- Comprehensive knowledge of acute medical conditions, procedures, and diagnostics
- Strong leadership and management skills
