- Position Overview: The Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing information about academic programs, assisting with application procedures, and ensuring a positive experience for applicants. This role requires an individual who already possesses a valid visa, allowing them to work in UAE.
Student Recruitment:
- Actively participate in recruitment activities, including attending education fairs, visiting schools, and conducting information sessions.
Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, parents, and educational institutions.
- Counselling and Guidance:
Provide one-on-one counselling to prospective students regarding program selection, admission requirements, and career pathways.- Assist students in completing application forms and gathering necessary documentation.
Application Processing:- Review and assess student applications for completeness and eligibility.
Coordinate with the admissions team to process applications in a timely manner.Information Dissemination:
Stay updated with the universitys academic programs, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate accurate and relevant information to prospective students through various channels (email, phone, in-person).
Follow-up and Tracking:
- Maintain a database of prospective students and track their progress through the admissions process.
Follow up with applicants to ensure all required documents are submitted and deadlines are met.
Work closely with other departments such as marketing, academic departments, and student services to ensure a seamless admissions process.- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of recruitment strategies.
Visa and Immigration Support:- Provide basic information and guidance on visa and immigration processes relevant to the universitys international students.
Liaise with relevant authorities to stay updated on visa regulations and requirements.Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on recruitment and admissions activities to the Admissions Manager.
- Analyze trends and provide insights for improving the admissions process.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in admissions, student counseling, or a related role is preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Knowledge of the higher education landscape and admissions processes.
Visa Requirement: Must possess a valid visa that permits working in UAE.
Multilingual abilities are an asset.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
