Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Design and promote agroforestry systems that enhance sustainable land use practices within the Saudi Green Initiative.
- Provide technical support for integrating forestry and agriculture, ensuring synergy between both sectors.
- Ensure agroforestry practices align with afforestation and sustainability goals of the initiative.
- Conduct training sessions for stakeholders on agroforestry techniques and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of agroforestry systems in achieving environmental targets.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop strategies for sustainable land management.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on agroforestry initiatives and their impact on the environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Agroforestry, Forestry, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in agroforestry or sustainable agriculture projects.
- Expertise in agroforestry and sustainable land management practices.
- Strong knowledge of forest-agriculture interactions and their ecological impacts.
- Proven experience in promoting sustainable agriculture practices and community engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certification in Sustainable Land Management
- Agroforestry Certification (if applicable)
- Certification in Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
