Aircraft Leasing General Counsel / Head of Legal

My client is an aircraft lessor which has a requirement for a General Counsel

Responsibilities

• Manage the legal function regarding the execution and administration of aircraft acquisitions and sales, aircraft operating leases, and associated finance transactions.
• Manage an experienced team of lawyers
• Appoint and oversee external counsel as required
• Manage legal disputes with airlines, lessors, financiers, OEMs and third parties

Experience:

• Extensive aviation leasing and finance experience with a law firm or from an in-house aircraft leasing company
• Experience managing an aviation finance legal team
• Experience drafting and negotiating aircraft operating lease agreements, aircraft sale and purchase agreements
• Experience negotiating financing documents and responsibility for managing the delivery, sale and financing of aircraft
• Law degree, with a minimum 10 years PQE
