Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced AP Lifting Specialist to join our team for a construction project in Riyadh, KSA. This is a temporary position with an immediate start, running until the end of January 2025. The ideal candidate will hold certification from an accredited body and have extensive experience in construction lifting operations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee lifting operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare lifting plans in line with project requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate with lifting teams on-site, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Ensure all lifting equipment is regularly inspected, maintained, and meets local and international safety standards.
- Collaborate with site managers, contractors, and engineers to integrate lifting operations seamlessly into the project timeline.
- Identify potential risks and implement control measures to mitigate hazards associated with lifting activities.
- Document lifting operations, incident reports, and maintain accurate records for project auditing and compliance.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an AP Lifting Specialist from an accredited body (such as LEEA, CPCS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in lifting operations within a construction setting, preferably on large-scale projects.
- Thorough knowledge of Saudi Arabian safety standards and regulations for lifting operations.
- Proficiency in interpreting lifting plans, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-stakes environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams on-site.
- Flexibility to work the required hours and adjust to project demands.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in large construction projects in Riyadh or the broader Middle Eastern region.
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
