What you will do
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented NDC API Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding new clients through the process of integrating our NDC API into their systems. You will serve as the primary point of contact during the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration and onboarding experience. You have a technical mindset and have in-depth knowledge of NDC.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Onboarding Management - Lead the entire NDC API onboarding process for new clients from initial contact to successful integration and activation. Develop and maintain a structured onboarding plan tailored to each client's needs and technical capabilities. Set clear expectations and timelines for the integration process
Technical Support and Guidance - Provide expert technical advice on NDC API integration best practices. Assist clients in understanding NDC API documentation, endpoints, and data structures. Troubleshoot integration issues and provide timely solutions
Manage Customer Certifications Ensure tight certification procedures are in place and followed to ensure customers are activated with minimal likelihood of encountering issues including performance considerations.
Documentation and Resources - Create and maintain comprehensive onboarding documentation, including guides, tutorials, and FAQs. Develop sample code and integration examples to facilitate client understanding. Keep internal knowledge bases up-to-date with common issues and solutions
Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with the product, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure alignment on client needs and API capabilities. Communicate client feedback and feature requests to the product team. Coordinate with the support team to ensure a smooth handover post-integration
Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the onboarding process. Conduct regular check-ins and progress meetings with clients. Identify upsell opportunities and communicate them to the sales team
Performance Monitoring and Reporting - Track key metrics related to onboarding efficiency and client satisfaction. Prepare and present regular reports on onboarding progress and success rates. Continuously analyze and optimize the onboarding process
Continuous Learning - Stay up-to-date with the latest API technologies, integration methods, and industry best practices. Participate in relevant training and certification programs to enhance skills
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Functional/technical experience in the travel industry, preferably airline reservations
3+ years of experience in API integration, technical support, or a similar role
Experience in IATA NDC API
Strong hands-on experience developing or supporting Web Services REST API, XML or JSON
Experience in Schema (.xsd)
Experience with API Management toolsets, API Testing Tools like SOAPUI, postman, cURL
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills with technical or business counterparts
Familiar with service management tools
