We are seeking a highly experienced Application Architect with a minimum of 14 years of experience, specifically within the petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of application architecture, design principles, and development methodologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level applications that support our business objectives. The Application Architect will be responsible for ensuring that our software solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design: Develop and maintain application architecture frameworks that align with business strategies and goals. Ensure the architecture supports scalability, performance, and security requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams. Lead architectural reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and IT teams, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Integration Solutions: Design and implement integration solutions between various applications and systems within the petrochemical sector, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can enhance application performance and efficiency.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of application architecture, design specifications, and technical guidelines to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and testing methodologies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring tools and techniques to assess application performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior management and stakeholders to present architectural designs, project updates, and technology recommendations.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that all applications comply with industry regulations and security standards, particularly those relevant to the petrochemical industry.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 14 years of experience in application architecture, with at least 5 years in the petrochemical industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python), web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and frameworks (e.g., Spring, .NET). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Architectural Frameworks: Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar methodologies.
- Integration Technologies: Experience with integration tools and technologies (e.g., API management, ESB, microservices) used in enterprise application integration.
- Project Management: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies. Experience in leading projects from conception to deployment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
