The Application Support Specialist is accountable for the availability, performance, cost optimizations and risk management related to Bank Application services.
The Application Support Specialist will provide enterprise-wide support for complex applications and interconnected technologies that require day-today support and administration in order to maintain optimal performance and utilization with focus on:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
IT based degree, university degree, or equivalent work experience required.
Relevant Certification
5+ years of experience at a relevant Technical position in large organizations
Banking background
Skills
Experience in Application production support within the ITIL Framework.
Excellent knowledge and hands on experience in
oApplication trouble shooting, configuration and maintenance.
oApplication performance tuning and optimization
oResolution of tickets with quality and within SLA.
oProactive monitoring and incidents analysis.
Experience in Work flow maintenance and Configuration.
Technical Expertise:
Very good knowledge of reporting tools viz. MS Power BI, SSRS Reports, Tableau and Qlikview.
Experience in debugging any report and dashboard related issues.
Knowledge on relational and non-relation Databases (Sybase IQ, Oracle, MSSQL, SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, Hive).
Proficient in writing advanced Hive queries.
Hands on experience in Windows and Unix Command.
Good / fair knowledge on ETL tools like Informatica Power Center / BDM as part of report investigation.
Good knowledge of Open source applications/application components
Knowledge on Informatica batch jobs Monitoring and troubleshooting is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of application licensing
