Job Title : Aquaculture Technician

Job Description :
Key Responsibilities :
Feed and monitor the health of fish, shellfish, or other aquatic organisms according to established protocols.
Maintain optimal feeding schedules and practices to promote growth and health.
Monitor and maintain water quality parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and salinity.
Conduct regular water testing and adjust conditions as necessary to ensure optimal habitat conditions for the organisms.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of aquaculture systems, tanks, filters, and equipment.
Keep accurate records of feeding schedules, water quality parameters, and growth rates.
Compile and report data for research purposes or regulatory compliance.
Monitor for signs of disease or stress in aquatic organisms.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in aquaculture, marine biology, fisheries, or related field preferred.
Hands-on experience with aquaculture operations or similar work environments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
Knowledge of aquaculture principles, water chemistry, and aquatic animal biology.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse team
