Role Description
Preparation of Shop Drawings:
- Develop detailed structural shop drawings for various construction projects, including steel, concrete, and timber structures.
- Ensure that all drawings meet industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
Collaboration and coordination:
- Work with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to gather necessary information and resolve any design issues.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure that shop drawings are delivered on time and accurately.
Review and Quality Control:
- Review and interpret architectural and structural design drawings and specifications.
- Perform quality checks on shop drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to construction teams during the implementation of the shop drawings.
- Address and resolve any structural design issues that arise during the construction phase.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all shop drawings, revisions, and correspondences.
- Prepare and submit the necessary reports and documentation to project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on shop drawings.
- Experience in the construction industry and familiarity with construction processes.
Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong understanding of structural design principles and construction materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
