We are looking for an Assistant Buyer with kidswear experience who will be responsible for assisting the Buyer/Senior Buyer in sourcing, developing and selecting ranges. The job holder will also ensure inventory availability through monitoring sales and managing order replenishment and will be responsible to maintain accuracy of the database and order processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development Support the development of our amazing product working closely with the design team and suppliers.
- Work closely with the technical department to ensure fit samples are received on-time in line with the critical path. Attend weekly fit sessions ensuring that quality standards are maintained.
- Critical Path Management ownership of lab dip, trim and bulk approvals / rejections to ensure smooth running of critical path.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the supply base and internal teams to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Ensure deliveries are on time and delays are communicated in a timely manner to minimise risk to delivering the range. Must be proactive with finding solutions prior to updating Buyers
- Set up Order Confirmation sheets and communicate to suppliers
- Keep PLM up to date and accurate at all times with the help of the BAA.
- Prepare relevant samples for product review, photoshoots and E-com.
- Contribute to planning, trade and sales meetings with the ability to analyse sales trade data. Prepare weekly bestseller reports containing visuals and notes on observation.
- Carry out regularly store visits and comp shops to report back to team and contribute to department strategy.
- Ownership and support of BAA to ensure smooth running of PO process.
- Negotiation Understand cost and fabric prices required to support Buyer in securing range at the right price that meet margin targets.
