Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Director in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. This position requires expertise in group accounts, exceptional man management skills, and a proven track record in process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Group Accounts Management:

Manage group accounts, including consolidation and reconciliation processes.

Streamline group accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Man Management:

Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.

Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring alignment with team members skills and development goals.

Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, and facilitate training as necessary.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization within the finance department.

Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance productivity and accuracy.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

CIMA, ACCA, ACA

Strong man management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.

Demonstrated experience in process improvement.

Good working knowledge of Xero and application integrations would be an advantage

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
