Job Description

our client is leading FMCG Multinational across Middle East and looking to hire a Assistant Manager Logistics based out of Dubai ,UAE office

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Manage inventory levels and minimize excess stock.
  • Track shipment schedules and manage logistics documentation.
  • Analyze and improve logistics processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for logistics and report on findings.
  • Resolve any issues related to shipping, delivery, or inventory discrepancies.
  • Estimate costs for transportation and logistics services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for logistical operations.
  • Train and mentor junior logistics staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in logistics operations.
  • Investigate and implement new technologies that could enhance logistics operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.
  • Experience with logistics software and warehouse management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to conduct cost analysis and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business environments.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • candidates with strong SAP and Excel experience from comparable fmcg companies
  • The candidate should already be based in UAE ideally and worked on exports.
