We seek a motivated and detail-oriented assistant purchasing manager to support our procurement team in managing purchasing activities and vendor relationships. the assistant purchasing manager will assist in developing procurement strategies, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. the ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. if you are a proactive team player with a passion for procurement, we invite you to apply for this role.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers and vendors
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effective products and services.
Assist in developing procurement plans and strategies based on business needs and budgetary constraints.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements and priorities.
Source and evaluate potential suppliers, obtain quotes, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
Analyze supplier proposals and make recommendations for supplier selection.
Generate purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely processing of orders.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to track order status and resolve any issues or delays.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to meet demand.
Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
Ensure purchased products and services meet quality standards and specifications.
Conduct supplier audits and inspections as necessary to verify quality and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
Prepare regular reports and analyses on procurement metrics and key performance indicators.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
+5 years experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles preferred.
Skills and competencies:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in ms office applications, especially excel and word.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
