We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President - Corporate Planning (Qatarization) to join our esteemed client in Doha. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the corporate planning function, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives across headquarters, branches, representative offices, and subsidiaries. This role demands strong analytical skills, strategic insight, and a deep understanding of performance management within the banking sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Planning Support: Contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of the corporate planning function, covering operations in Doha and across all branches, representative offices, and subsidiaries.
- KPI Definition and Performance Management: Work closely with business, support, and control divisions to define key performance indicators (KPIs) spanning financial and non-financial dimensions (e.g., Financial, Customer, Process, and Organisation). Assist in coordinating and executing the quarterly performance management cycle.
- Performance Analysis and Insight: Review and analyze KPIs and scorecards across divisions to provide valuable insights into organizational performance and strategic execution, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Strategic Planning Collaboration: Collaborate with strategy development and PMO teams to support the development of annual business plans for all divisions. Ensure integration with performance management, strategic project portfolios, and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Facilitate alignment between business objectives, performance targets, and resource allocation to drive effective strategy execution and support for ongoing organizational growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (required); Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role within a reputable financial institution.
- Professional Background: Strong background in corporate planning, performance management, or similar fields, with exposure to management consulting approaches (experience in a consulting role is advantageous).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in performance management systems, balanced scorecard methodologies, and management information systems (MIS).
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the functions and operations within business and support divisions of a financial institution.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, along with proficiency in business software applications and communication tools.
- Analytical Abilities: Highly developed numerical, analytical, and evaluative skills, with the ability to extract and communicate insights effectively.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an asset). Comfortable engaging with various organizational levels and collaborating in a multi-cultural team.
