Job Purpose
- This role sits within the design and is responsible for overseeing all-structure design across Aldar projects portfolio.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and design review of all design documents including but not limited to structure design calculation, structure design drawings, specification, design reports through different project stages.
- Provide technical expertise and design review of all geotechnical and geophysical surveys reports.
- Provide technical expertise and design review of different structure system that suit the project requirements and design intent including but not limited to reinforced concrete structure, steel structure, posttension systems, precast structure system, modular construction, etc.
- Provide technical expertise and design review of construction drawings, construction method of statement, shop drawings and material submittal.
- Full awareness of the local authority requirements.
- Lead value engineering exercises to meet the allocated project budget.
- Interface with all relevant Authorities to ensure smooth design NOC's issuance and handover in line with local authorities regulation.
- Working closely with the project's leads in monitoring the project progress ensure project allocated budget and project baseline schedule are achieved.
- Establish, Develop and prepare the RFPs for all projects.
- Work closely with Tendering, Procurement and Project control during all design stages up to hiring the contractors to ensure meeting the project budget and end user requirement.
- Work closely with project delivery team and provide the required support in; Review the major Construction drawings, major material submittals.
- Manage and attend all the technical meetings with the end users and clients.
Qualifications & Experience
RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Min of 8+ years of relevant experience in Structure design in a large scale multicultural organizations.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE:
- Structure design, construction and project management.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- Strong experience in structure design of different structure system includes but not limited to RC, PT, steel structure, precast systems, modular construction, etc
- Strong knowledge and experience in geotechnical aspects reviews.
- Strong knowledge and experience in international standard code of practice includes but not limited to ACI, Canadian codes, Euro codes, British Standards
- Strong knowledge and experience in Abu Dhabi Local authorities.
- Strong experience in high scale master plan development, residential, Education, healthcare, Retail, religious, and security projects.
- Good knowledge in BIM and NAVIS works.
- Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills, with expertise in influencing Exec level stakeholders.
- Confident, articulate and professional speaking abilities.
- Skilled in crisis management and able to provide a rapid response when needed
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at the same time.
QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor's degree in Structure Engineering
