Your new role, what's involved
Operational delivery of mega projects.
Management of client relationship and representing WSP to client and their representative.
Managing large size MEP team, deliverables, and work closely with project lead team.
Managing and coordinating with internal disciplines and sub consultants.
Managing the project financially including resources allocation, WIP, VOs, invoicing and administration of change control system. Track record of delivering project with agreed design fee.
Strong communication skills with client, presenting the design to the client and provide feedback to wider team.
Ability to make decisions effectively and communicate with the client and project stockholders.
Delegation and supervision of work within project team and provide advice, guidance, coaching and motivation.
Lead potential prospects from start to finish and / or provide technical and commercial input to client proposals and bid planning.
Take responsibility for the direction of the business relationship and build strong personal relationships across the business.
Manage and direct business opportunities, develop new ideas, and seek to provide increasingly efficient and effective high-quality service.
As an Associate Director in WSP, you will be expected to take responsibility for:
The project technical control and ensure that all designs are technically sound and meet client brief.
Project resourcing, review of BEP and provide feedback to Project Directors, preparation of project deliverables in accordance with proposals and feedback to the design team.
Supervise the MEP design team, fostering innovation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Review and verify the QA procedure including design review signing off and provide feedback as required and sign the design review forms.
Showing skills in analysing the technical problems and issues and providing solutions.
Project financial control, end of month reporting on project financial status, possible Vos, invoicing status, WIB and debt.
Project management procedure is followed as per company practice including QA.
Reporting to the direct report on project technical and commercial performance. Keep the project team informed of key deliverables, deadlines, program, progress, issues, and changes.
Monitoring direct reports and provide regular performance feedback.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for MEP projects.
Review and endorse MEP design documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Bachelor s degree in building services with a mechanical or electrical bias; master s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 15+ years of experience in MEP design, with a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering background.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a large project team.
Strong communication skills.
Out of box thinking and problem solving.
Strong business development acumen with a track record of successful client engagement.
In-depth knowledge of MEP codes, standards, and best practices.
Experience working in the GCC region is highly desirable.
Project commercial awareness is essential.
