Asst. Manager - GCC Operations

Purpose Responsible for meeting the operation KPI of the organization through effective planning. To track delivery schedules and ensure deliveries are met as per timelines.

Key Responsibility Areas

Day-to-day operational management for all transport and fleet operations.

Lead and manage all aspects of the company's transport operations which include developing and implementing effective asset management systems, equipment maintenance programs, SOPs across the business and operating budgets

To maximize asset utilization and driving time.

To take charge of all the company's local and cross-border transportation activity.

To actively lead both the domestic and cross border teams in the achievement of its goals and KPIs.

An all-round Road Transport specialist with Middle East experience who is currently in the region and has experience of managing a 100+ fleet size.

Excellent knowledge of transport regulations and operational issues relating to the GCC market specifically Saudi Arabia strong knowledge of cross border trucking is essential.

Has a strong understanding of and proven success in delivering a high quality & cost-effective transport service.

Supervise and guide operation coordinators to ensure operational efficiency.

Ensure proper coordination and communication between different teams within the operation department.

Managing and communicating with the drivers to ensure that drivers comply with route and delivery schedules.

Prepare and present detailed reports on fleet utilization, availability, and shipment status to management.

Analyze and improve transit times, truck utilization, and overall transport operations to deliver high-quality services.

Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Strong management & leadership skills must be commercially astute.

Arabic speakers will be preferred.

Education MBA Supply Chain Management.

Experience Minimum 4 years in Transport Operations with 3 years in senior management roles.
