Position Title: Assistant Storekeeper

• Location: Dubai Industrial City ( DIC)

• Reports To: Factory Manager

• Job Summary:

The Assistant Storekeeper will assist in managing the inventory of aluminum and glass products, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and dispatching of materials. This role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting the Storekeeper in daily operations, and ensuring the warehouse operates smoothly and safely.

• Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Assist in receiving, storing, and issuing aluminum and glass products.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.

• Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Ensure proper labeling and storage of products to prevent damage.

Material Handling: Assist in unloading and loading materials using appropriate equipment.

• Safely move materials within the warehouse.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.

Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing materials.

• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Assist in preparing reports related to inventory levels, usage, and shipments.

Support Storekeeper: Assist the Storekeeper in daily warehouse operations.

• Follow instructions and guidelines provided by the Storekeeper or Warehouse Manager.

Help coordinate with suppliers and internal departments for efficient material flow.

Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity.

• Report any discrepancies or damaged materials to the Storekeeper.

Ensure proper handling to maintain the integrity of aluminum and glass products.

Safety and Housekeeping: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the warehouse.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Storekeeper or Warehouse Manager.

Customer Service: Assist in responding to internal and external inquiries regarding inventory.

• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of material requests.

• Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably in the aluminum and glass industry.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems.

Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus.

• Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to [specific weight]).

• Standing, walking, and moving throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
