Job Purpose
Consult with our clients to communicate their application needs to our development and engineering team. Demonstrate our products to our customers when required.
Application Engineer responsibilities include providing technical support to our clients and assisting our sales team with demonstrations and prototypes throughout the sales process.
Provide technical support during product approval testing and Factory acceptance.
Ultimately, you will work directly with our clients and provide support for our sales, engineering and development teams as needed.
Key Accountabilities
These will include:
Provide clients with technical support as needed and relay information to our sales and engineering teams for ongoing development.
Provide support to the production team during customer approval process and FAT.
Optimise Smart switchgear application/solutions by integrating new technologies as enhancements.
Contribute to sales presentations, as well as demonstrating product and completed integrated applications to customers.
Perform diagnostic tests, fault finding and debugging installed solutions.
Generate ideas for smart switchgear application innovation based on market trends.
Document development processes, procedures and application version histories
Keep up with advancements in automated switchgear engineering and new technologies.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Bachelors degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering
Proven work experience as an Application Engineer or similar role
Previous experience in sales or customer services is advantageous.
Extensive experience in deploying, optimizing, and maintaining automation applications.
Proven knowledge of automation integration, communication protocols and platforms.
Distribution Switchgear knowledge will is advantageous.
