Position Overview:
We are looking for an Automation with proven leadership skills to oversee and optimize automated systems while managing cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to optimize our manufacturing processes while ensuring high levels of quality and efficiency. This role entails strategic planning, project management, and collaboration with various departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives and uphold quality standards. Previous Experience in a bottling plant is considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management and Efficiency:
1. Oversee and manage production processes to ensure efficiency and address production-related issues.
2. Strategically plan and implement improvements to enhance production processes.
3. Lead collaboration with relevant departments to manage raw material stock, orders, and equipment maintenance.
4. Uphold quality control standards throughout plant operations.
5. Collaborate with the technical team to maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts, ensuring uninterrupted production.
Reporting and Analysis:
1. Prepare and analyze production, forecast, and maintenance reports.
2. Gather and compile reports from multiple departments on all aspects of operations and deliver them to management.
3. Submit staff payroll to HR and manage plant petty cash, ensuring timely replenishment.
Automation and System Development:
1. Design, develop, and implement systems to streamline manufacturing processes and improve productivity.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, to identify opportunities and requirements.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for projects to ensure optimal return on investment.
4. Develop and maintain detailed documentation including system specifications, design drawings, and operating procedures.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.
6. Provide training and support to production staff on the operation and maintenance of production equipment.
7. Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of production lines.
8. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation and manufacturing to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
9. provide support for PLC programming when needed.
Safety and Environment:
1. Ensure a clean, organized factory environment and monitor worker attire, cleanliness, safety, and productivity during production.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
-Strong PLC programming knowledge.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of mechanical principles and systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Experience with CAD software for design and modeling of automation components.
- Knowledge of production management principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in automation technologies or project management.
- Experience with robotics and mechatronics systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
-Experience in a Bottling Plant is a Plus
