Job Purpose
This position is responsible for LSA Production Engineering & Product/Process Automation. Product Automation includes providing technical support to Production, troubleshooting, programming, testing, inspection, communication within internal/external, addressing site complaints, automation production improvements and troubleshooting.
Job Context
Provide Technical support to LSA Operations in all activities involving Automation.
Job Dimensions
The Automation Production Support Engineer involves regular and close interactions with all functions of LSA Operations. Furthermore, interactions with Internal Sales are often required.
Key Accountabilities
The position is responsible to:
PRODUCT AUTOMATION
a) Automation products troubleshooting, programming, testing, inspection, communication within internal/external, addressing site complaints.
b) To manage and maintain various automation test rig and test fixtures.
c) To manage and maintain various automation PCBs (RTU/AMM/G3 Module)
d) Actively involving into Automation, Maintenance and Production team
e) To involve in the new product manufacturing and testing
CURRENT PRODUCT IMPROVEMENTS
a) Analysis & Problem solving
b) 8D & other Methodology
c) Design improvements feedback to Automation Engineering
d) Trialling & implementing proposed improvements.
e) Creating work environment to meet quality standards set by ISO 9001/14001
f) BOM validation and error reporting to contracts/Automation Eng for corrective actions (ECR/ECN process)
g) Build Instructions
LEAN MANAGEMENT:
a) Eliminate Waste Activities
b) Coordinate with related departments for optimized process flow, Lean manufacturing.
c) Total cycle time (throughput time) reduction
d) Implementing 5S concepts
SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (D365) & MANAGEMENT REPORTING:
a) Ensure to submit/ Circulate all management reports on time.
b) Budget Activity for Production Dept
c) D365 activities related to the Department (Route etc.)
TRAINING
a) Impart Training to workers on Product and other technical aspects of product.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
a) Facilitate safe working environment for people and implement H&S guidelines and regulations.
General
a) To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the company.
b) Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of information relating to the companys business and staff.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelors in electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 3+ years of Industrial experience on relevant skills as detailed above.
- Process Automation
- Lean Manufacturing concepts- 5S, 6 Sigma, CR/CI, Problem solving tools.
- Industrial Automation
- ISO systems and procedures
- D365 ERP platform
- Test Jigs, Test Fixtures & Templates
- Hands-on familiarity of the lab equipment such as Omicron/Doble, DSO, Power Supplies etc.,
- Knowledge of LabVIEW will be an added advantage.
