Purpose of the role
Rectify, and repair customer's vehicles, ensure compliance with company's standards, while operating in a safe work environment.
Job Accountabilities
- Inspect vehicles for damage.
- Remove and replace damaged parts with power and hand tools.
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
- If any parts are required to purchase, informs the supervisor.
- Fill cracks and depressions.
- Search for information in the available documentation (technical manuals, repair booklets).
- Identify additional work and non-conformances. Rapidly communicates them to the Supervisor and writes them down on the job card.
- Ensure the presentation of the vehicle viz. resetting of equipment and accessories, cleanliness.
- By receiving the job card, performs each requirement and ticks and signed the checklist before moving forward.
- Tidies up and cleans the work area, and all the tools used (individual or collective).
- Maintains the stock of tools and keeps them in proper condition.
- Perform all the activities in compliance with the Company's QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities.
- Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line Manager.
Qualifications & Education
High-school degree /certification.
Experience
A minimum of 3years of experience in a similar role within the workshop.
Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of English (able to read and interpret technical manuals, repair booklets).
Knowledge of using modern diagnostic equipment.
