Overall Purpose of the role
The BIM Architect/Coordinator directly reporting within the team structure to the BIM Managerr. He will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of structural detailing solutions that achieve technical compliance . This role will be based in Dubai.
Key Objectives
- To be actively involved in the delivery of project packages or parts of projects as part of the team
To be actively involved in the design and technical production of projects- To be able to work under pressure to meet the timeline of the project
To have a better understanding of utilizing the latest software to deliver the project
- To have full coordination with other disciplines to minimize the load of the QA/QC department.
Expectations & Responsibilities related to your role
- DESIGN
- Working within the Structural Group undertaking the structural modeling and detailing of projects
Supporting the BIM Captain by providing technical expertise on projects to ensure that they are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards- Undertaking Structural Modelling and Structural Detailing on global projects
Working with the Technical Specialist on the delivery of major projects using CAD and BIM software packages, as required.
- Reviewing the work of other CAD delivery teams
Ensuring that projects are delivered to the agreed outputs on time and quality standards.- Assist with the preparation of expressions of interest and proposals as required.
Prepared Authority submittal package
- Using Parametric script to enhance the delivery of the project milestone.
Assist in the development and implementation of companywide BIM/CAD standards and procedures.- Maintain BIM templates and libraries, providing BIM production support for project teams including project model setup and primary discipline project work
Create Revit families in response to project needs
- Monitor project delivery to ensure compliance with the agreed upon strategy, standards and work processes.
- TECHNICAL AND QA/QC
- Produce drawings or oversee the production of drawings in accordance with company guidelines and within project deadlines.
Uses the company file naming and information filing standards and follow quality standards in overall work- Performs QA/QC checks of project/package before presenting for review
Basic understanding of building construction, codes, and regulations, and obligations of the structural design.
- Progressive improvement of quality.
Help resolve BIM design issues, oversee coordinated digital documents to project team and link BIM to additional applications- Coordinating with all other departments for timely resolution of issues affecting the project
Shall support project standards and coordination with consultants
- Shall provide guidance for creation of Revit families
