Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
BIM/GIS Manager to join our team! As a BIM Manager, you will be part of the client representative team and shall be responsible for overseeing all Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities for specific design packages across the program.
What You'll Be Doing
- As part of the client team, oversee and manage all BIM activities within the Common Data Environment (CDE) for specific design packages.
- Ensure that all designers have appropriate access to the CDE for their work.
- Review and input to standards and procedures including Exchange Information Requirements (EIR), Federation Strategies and Training plans etc.
- Facilitate access for design reviewers to the CDE as needed
- Collaborate with the broader digital delivery team for activities such as QA/QC checks of BIM models
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure BIM standards and protocols are adhered to including to ISO19650.
- Develop and implement BIM execution plans and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide training and support to project team members on BIM processes and tools.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity and quality of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with other project managers and team members to integrate BIM workflows with other project processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to BIM software and data management.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry best practices. Develop and implement a unified GIS framework, ensuring consistency across consultants and contractors.
- Act as the primary GIS liaison, facilitating collaboration between clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Oversee the aggregation, standardization, and governance of GIS data to ensure compatibility and compliance.
- Enforce QA/QC processes and review GIS/BIM deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to program requirements.
- Deliver spatial analyses, dashboards, and visualizations to support program-level decision-making.
- Provide technical guidance and workshops to align stakeholders with program GIS standards.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Degree in computer science, information systems or related work experience.
- Previous experience in a digital delivery management position for a large infrastructure project preferably drainage/wastewater/water projects.
- Experienced in Autodesk products (Revit, ACC etc.)
- Experienced using Revizto for model federation, clash and issue detection and resolution
- Expertise in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), spatial data management, scripting (e.g., Python), and web-based GIS platforms.
- Min. 15+ years of experience
- A strong understanding of digital delivery infrastructure, security and operational services.
- Excellent organizational and oversight skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Experienced in 4D, 5D, 6D and 7D BIM applications and tools
- Ability to demonstrate assertiveness and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize workflow and has exceptional organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, be proactive, and take ownership of issues to ensure they are completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Self-starter with the skills to research and complete tasks with limited supervision.
- Prior digital delivery project team lead experience, technical project management, technical writing and documentation skills, training and mentoring project teams
- Coordination and presentation experience to project stakeholders, clients, and partners
