Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced BIM Manager with a minimum of 10 years of proven expertise in managing and implementing BIM processes across large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading BIM strategy, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and driving innovation in digital construction workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of the BIM strategy across projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of BIM coordinators, modelers, and engineers. Provide training and guidance to ensure consistent application of BIM best practices.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that BIM processes are integrated into all phases of project delivery.
- Clash Detection & Resolution: Lead the clash detection process, identify potential design conflicts, and resolve coordination issues using tools like Navisworks and Revit.
- Model Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and coordination of federated BIM models, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all BIM models adhere to international standards (ISO 19650, PAS 1192) and local regulations, and enforce company-specific protocols.
- Project Documentation: Manage the documentation and data management processes throughout the lifecycle of projects, ensuring that BIM deliverables meet client specifications.
- Innovation & Implementation: Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies and industry trends, implementing innovative solutions to improve project workflows.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM management, with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of BIM software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360. Familiarity with cloud-based BIM platforms and data environments.
- Standards Knowledge: Strong understanding of BIM standards and regulations, including ISO 19650, PAS 1192, and local BIM implementation frameworks.
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation in a BIM environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading teams, providing training, and facilitating collaboration between multidisciplinary teams.
- Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional certifications in BIM (Autodesk Certified Professional, BIM 360, etc.) are highly desirable. PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on projects using sustainable design practices (LEED, BREEAM).
- Familiarity with programming languages or tools such as Dynamo for Revit to create custom workflows and enhance BIM automation.
- Experience with VR/AR technologies as they apply to BIM and digital twin concepts.
