Position Overview:
As a Bioinformatics Specialist, you will:
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and subject matter experts.
- Contribute to pioneering projects in areas such as cell annotation, batch integration, cell classification, and multimodal analysis.
- Engage in both discovery and translational science, focusing on target identification and patient stratification.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of hand-on experience within single-cell analysis
Required Skills:
- Foundational knowledge of single-cell analysis tools (e.g., Scanpy, Seurat, scGPT, GeneFormer).
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Enthusiasm for learning and working with bioinformatics tools and developing data analysis pipelines.
- Interest in one or more of the following areas: Immunology, Oncology, or Neuroscience.
Preferred Skills (Not required, but a plus):
- Familiarity with single-cell annotation resources (e.g., CellStar, CellMarker, PanglaoDB).
- Experience with graphical Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Holoviews).
- Knowledge of cytometry or spatial omics data analysis.
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Ability to interpret and contribute to academic research papers.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
