Job Description

Summary
As a Bookkeeping Manager, you lead our bookkeeping partners and oversee all our services. You should have a strong background in bookkeeping, a proven track record of managing financial records, and excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships with bookkeeping providers. As the Bookkeeping Manager, you will be pivotal in maintaining accurate financial data and ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage and guide bookkeeping partners in accurately recording, organizing, and maintaining financial transactions for our clients.
Build and nurture strong working relationships with bookkeeping providers, serving as the primary point of contact for collaboration and communication.
Coordinate and facilitate the sharing of financial information with external auditors during audit engagements, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and documentation required for audits, reviews, and compilations.
Maintain a deep understanding of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure accuracy and adherence.
Develop and implement effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial data and prevent discrepancies or fraud.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, changes in accounting practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the efficiency and quality of bookkeeping services.
Provide strategic insights based on financial data to assist clients and internal stakeholders make informed decisions.
Assist in prociding insights of enhancing our product and servies in bookkeeping.
Collaborate with clients and team members to address queries, provide guidance, and offer solutions to bookkeeping-related issues.
Lead the training and professional development of the bookkeeping partners, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Monitor the timely completion of bookkeeping tasks and ensure all deadlines are met without compromising accuracy.
Prepare regular performance reports and present them to senior management, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance; Professional certifications are a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in bookkeeping or accounting roles, including expertise in managing bookkeeping teams and collaborating with bookkeeping/auditing firms.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and auditing standards.
Proficiency in using accounting software and tools to manage financial data, generate reports, and collaborate to highlight improvement areas.
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills to effectively liaise with bookkeeping companies and clients.
Detail-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy and analytical thinking.
Leadership abilities to guide, mentor, and inspire teams/partners.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing client needs.
Strong problem-solving skills to address complex bookkeeping challenges and provide innovative solutions.
Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
