We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst with a focus on the airline industry and API integrations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of IATA NDC standards, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless data exchange and optimizing API workflows within our organization.
What you will do:
Documentation Analysis:
- Analyze airline API documentation to understand the structure, functionality, and data flows
- Review and interpret technical documentation to extract relevant information for integration purposes
Mapping Documentation Creation:
- Develop detailed mapping documentation to map airline APIs to our internal API
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in the mapping documentation to facilitate seamless data exchange
API Workflow Analysis:
- Analyze and document API workflows to understand the end-to-end process
- Identify and address gaps, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement in API workflows
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement
IATA NDC Expertise:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on IATA NDC standards, ensuring compliance and optimal implementation
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of NDC schemas, messages, and processes
API Integration:
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate and efficient integration of APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to API integrations
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on the airline industry and API integrations
- In-depth knowledge of IATA NDC standards and their application in airline distribution
- Proven experience with API integration projects, including RESTful and SOAP APIs
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in data mapping, transformation, and related tools
- Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive mapping documentation
