Business Analyst - Cargo Operations

Qatar onsite requirement as a Lead Business Analyst specializing in the airline government domain, to play a pivotal role in analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating the successful implementation of technology solutions within the cargo operations sphere. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and optimize cargo handling processes.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including cargo operations managers, IT teams, and end-users, to understand business needs and requirements

Analyze and document existing cargo operations processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization

Gather and document detailed business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for technology solutions.

Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements, and facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Conduct feasibility studies, impact analyses, and gap assessments for proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business goals.

Assist in designing, testing, and implementing software solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and quality standards

Perform data analysis and provide insights to drive informed decision-making within the cargo domain.

Collaborate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate training sessions for end-users to ensure successful solution adoption.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

7+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the airline government domain.

Strong understanding of air cargo operations, including booking, reservation, capacity management, and air waybill processes.

Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Proficient in using business analysis tools, techniques, and documentation standards.

Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, is a plus.
