About the Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our growing team and support Tarabut's BaaS Unit whose efforts are enabling banks to externalize their APIs to meet Open Banking standards. The role will primarily focus on three key markets: Bahrain, KSA, and UAE, so candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to one of these regions.
As part of the Client Delivery team, you will report directly to the Head of Client Delivery and play an integral role in API integration projects, managing client relationships, and supporting banks in navigating the evolving landscape of Open Banking. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Open Banking APIs or banking infrastructure, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical details into simple, digestible information for various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
API Integration & Analysis:
- Support banks in externalizing their APIs, ensuring adherence to Open Banking standards as defined by regional regulators in Bahrain, KSA, and UAE.
- Analyze technical specifications of banking APIs and infrastructure to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Simplify complex technical information into concise, user-friendly content for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Bahrain, KSA, and UAE markets, ensuring alignment on project objectives and timelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, developers, and third-party providers, acting as the main point of contact for API integration projects.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet the high-quality standards expected by Tarabut and its clients.
Documentation & Support:
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as API guides, project plans, and user manuals.
- Provide ongoing support to clients during the API implementation process, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating smooth adoption.
- Stay informed on the latest Open Banking trends and regulatory changes in Bahrain, KSA, and UAE to offer clients the best possible advice and solutions.
Key Requirements:
Technical Knowledge:
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Open Banking APIs and banking infrastructure.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
- Knowledge of Open Banking standards set by regional regulators in Bahrain, KSA, and UAE.
Communication & Stakeholder Management:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage relationships and multiple projects across different regions.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and balance the needs of various stakeholders.
Organizational & Analytical Skills:
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset to interpret technical data, propose solutions, and manage potential risks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in financial technology, banking, or related industries.
- Experience working with Open Banking APIs or within a banking infrastructure environment.
- Familiarity with the financial services landscape in Bahrain, KSA, and UAE is a plus.
- Previous experience working in a client-facing role or managing technical projects.
