What We Need
Oivan is looking for a
Technical Writer or Business Analyst with at least 2-3 years of experience in managing local and or international software IT projects in Saudi Arabia. As a BA with a background in Agile Scrum methodologies, you will be responsible for documenting the product roadmap; changes in the timeline; communicating closely with the technical product owner. Your role encompasses project documentation, preparing and translaring BRDs, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
You will be based on-site at our customer's premises in Riyadh, KSA.
This role requires fluent Arabic as well as English language skills.
What You'll Do
We offer you the unique opportunity to work and improve your skills with a diverse and geographically distributed team of technology and business experts around the world. You will get to work on various products / projects and execute the following responsibilities as a technical project manager:
- Develop, update, and organize detailed technical documentation, including user manuals, system design documents, process workflows, and API documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into well-structured technical documentation, such as functional specifications, use cases, and data flow diagrams.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams by documenting requirements, solutions, and design considerations, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and deliverables.
- Design and create user guides, training manuals, and support documentation to assist end-users and internal teams in understanding and utilizing software applications or business processes effectively.
- Establish and maintain documentation standards, style guides, and templates to ensure consistent terminology, format, and quality across all technical documents and communications.
This role is for working with our local clients in Saudi Arabia and providing facilitation support to 1-2 projects.
What You Have
As a technical writer, we prefer that you have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Communication, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in business analysis or technical writing are an advantage.
- 2+ years of Business Analyst experience in the software development industry, IT service management or something similar. We encourage you to apply if you have less years of experience, the number of years is to give an average benchmark.
- Familiarity with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Confluence, JIRA, Visio, or other diagramming and project management tools. Experience with Markdown, HTML, or XML is a plus.
- Proven experience in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, process diagrams, and training materials.
- Understanding of different phases of the SDLC and the ability to document requirements and processes at various stages of software development.
- Strong command in Arabic and English in writing and speaking.
