Job Description

The Business Application Manager will be based in Doha, Qatar, and will be accountable for:

  1. Project management & end-to-end delivery of ERP, CRM HCM, Asset Management, Business Intelligence, and any other solutions implementation in the company.
  2. Design & accountable for application architecture for the group, that aligns with business goals and growth requirements.
  3. Planning, designing, functional and technical aspects of all solutions.
  4. Ensure scope of work is clearly defined, assist business with drafting business requirements and seek appropriate approvals from management and business stakeholders.
  5. Ensure on time and on budget delivery of IT applications/solutions as defined in the scope of work.

Responsibilities

  • The role is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and architecture of an application or a system of applications. This means that He/she must understand the business needs, the user requirements, the technical constraints, and the industry standards. He/she also must communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, such as developers, testers, managers, clients, and users, to ensure that the vision is aligned and feasible.
  • The role is responsible for designing the solution that will implement the vision. This means that He/she choose the appropriate technologies, frameworks, tools, and methodologies for the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the application. He/she also He/she define the structure, components, interfaces, patterns, principles, and best practices of the application. They He/she document and present the design to the relevant parties and get feedback and approval.
  • Role is also responsible for guiding the implementation of the solution. This means that they He/she oversee and support the development team, monitor and review the code quality, performance, security, and scalability of the application, and resolve any technical issues or challenges. He/she also ensures that the application meets the functional and non-functional requirements, follows the design specifications, and adheres to the standards and policies.
  • Accountable for delivery & management of applications including ERP, CRM and any other solutions implementation in AFH Group of companies
  • Design & accountable for all applications architecture for the group
  • Ensure scope of work is clearly defined, assist business with drafting business requirements and seek appropriate approvals from management and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure on time and on budget delivery of IT applications/solutions as defined in the scope of work.
  • Owner of the end-to-end project lifecycle of the organization's business applications, including management of scope and business requirements, functional and technical specifications, application integration, testing, user application training (UAT), implementation, deployment and post go-live end-to-end efficient application support.
  • Identify and address business requirements and develop and/or deploy efficient technical solutions.
  • Analyze performance of current applications and document resolutions to enhance quality of service and proactively address future problems.
  • Work with senior and department leadership to identify and implement process improvements. Proactively and consistently, identify and manage project related issues, risks and mitigate scope changes, ensuring that all project objectives are attained.
  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders (i.e., system users, BUs management, and vendors); keeping stakeholders informed and manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
  • Develop operational and team performance objectives and create schedules and capacity plans, work plans and produce application guidelines that are consistent with company standards to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop, and provide monthly IT application metrics and KPIs and performance/status reports to ensure transparency to wider organization.
  • Maintain overall control of the schedule, budget, and scope. for Applications including both CAPEX & OPEX for all BUs and ensuring billing reconciliations as appropriate
  • Ensure that commitments and changes to commitments resulting from the requirements are negotiated with affected groups.
  • Identify and anticipate business risks associated to applications, establish, and manage risk mitigation plan and escalate where appropriate.
  • Ensure effective communications with business process owners and Project stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, provide guidance and constructive feedback to enhance the performance. Train and develop team members.

Requirements

  • Enterprise/Systems architect with at least 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Integrations, designs and implementations of applications and solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Arabic is a plus.
  • Must have delivered at least two successful implementations in Oracle Fusion and possess at least 8 years of experience in designing and implementing Oracle technology solutions such as Fusion and EBS
  • Other major ERPs & CRMs solutions such as SAP S4, Rise, Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics are a plus.
  • At least 10+ years in leading detailed business requirements and specification activities. Elicit requirements via interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process reviews, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks, and workflow analysis.
  • Educate leadership, provide strategy and direction, mentor and advise business & technical/development team members from end to end of ERP & solutions implementation.
  • Experience and expertise with executive leadership management, superior problem-solving, time-management and judgment, and communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence, HCM, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, implementation life cycle, support and maintenance.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to function in multiple roles based on project demands.
  • Department restructuring experience, including outsourcing is considered a big plus.
  • Customer focused business partner with strategic thinking and a proven track record of delivering business value.
  • Must be well versed with emerging technologies including AI, AR, VR, Big Data, Data analytics & IOT
  • Outstanding presentation skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Emotionally Intelligent Self-aware of his/her capabilities and areas of improvement, and his/her staff capability as well.
  • Work independently with high degree of responsibility & proactiveness
