Your working environment
Our entity aims to substantially grow its business in the UAE and Asia. To reinforce its capacity to increase the sales volume in the region, our entity looks for a senior business developer.
The senior business developers are based in the local offices in the abovementioned countries and report to the headquarter organization located in Belgium. All local senior business developers are interfaced with a business developer manager located in Belgium, defining the business development strategy in terms of products/services/R&D to be developed in Asia, and supporting the local senior business developers in the execution of the given strategy. Our contracting team offers its support to establish attractive, competitive and innovative offers in energy and infrastructure, especially for clients and projects requiring the collaboration with other business entities from the ENGIE group. Our marketing & product innovation team offers its active support in order to develop new activities, for example in the field of renewable energy and energy storage (prepare the upcoming energy transition).
Your function
- Acquisition of new customers, growing business with current customers as a way to increase the company's market share in the region.
- Develop and secure close relationship with target customers.
- Introduction of target products and services in the region.
- Develop and maintain good relationship with other stakeholders operating in the region in the view of establishing partnerships when needed to push target products and services.
- Contributing to the sales and marketing plans for sales growth in the region.
- Identify product- and service- development needs and enhancement ideas to meet market requirements and user's expectations.
- Responsible for identifying business opportunities, for obtaining invitations to tender and for successfully negotiating the contracts.
- Responsible for preparing, leading and making presentations to customers and partners related to the Laborelec business activity and to specific technical products and services.
- Leading the commercial process involving and coordinating internal and external technical, financial, legal and other professionals.
Your profile- You have a university degree in technical/scientific matters (engineering preferred).
- You have more than 10 years of experience in the electrical power/energy industry with the following qualifications:
- You have relevant experience as operations- or maintenance engineer in large power plant, coal- and/or gas fired power stations.
- You have relevant experience as operations- maintenance- and/or plant-manager
- You have a valuable network with potential future clients in the region.
- You can work in team and have an excellent communication and reporting capability.
- You are able to work independently and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You demonstrate a commercial reflex and negotiating capabilities.
- You are perfectly fluent in English.
- You have a cooperative, proactive and dynamic approach
- You are a good listener with a strong customer focus
- You are flexible in your support towards all internal stakeholders
- You are willing and able to travel on a regular basis
