Job purpose/ summary of the overall job assignment:
Qima Coffee is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales and Business Development Lead to lead the growth of our green coffee sales in the KSA. The successful candidate will play a key role in building the company's brand presence, driving sales, and fostering long-term relationships with roasters and cafes in the region.
This role will be pivotal in driving the company's sales strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and expanding our footprint across KSA's growing specialty coffee markets.
Key accountabilities/main responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute tailored sales plans to target roasters, cafes, and other relevant coffee businesses in KSA.
- Work closely with the senior management team to develop annual sales and marketing strategies, focusing on both B2B and retail channels.
- Identify and pursue high-ticket sales opportunities from initial contact through to deal closure, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the specialty coffee industry and customer needs.
Market Expansion & Business Development:
- Lead business development activities to expand Qima Coffee's presence and brand recognition in the assigned markets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with potential and existing clients, with a focus on sustainable and long-term partnerships.
- Generate leads, qualify opportunities, and manage the full sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth, adjusting sales strategies accordingly
Client Relationship Management:
- Provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all client communications, ensuring timely and effective responses to inquiries, requests, and orders.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for Qima Coffee and its partners.
Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Regularly update the sales pipeline and report progress to senior management, providing insights into performance, market trends, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize CRM systems to track customer interactions, manage the sales process, and ensure accurate forecasting.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with broader company campaigns
Representation & Advocacy:
- Represent Qima Coffee at industry events, trade shows, and conferences in KSA.
- Advocate for Qima Coffee's values of quality, sustainability, and traceability, effectively communicating our unique value proposition to potential clients.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2B sales and business development, preferably in the coffee or food and beverage industries.
- Strong knowledge of the specialty coffee market and green coffee trading is a plus.
- Experience working with clients in KSA markets is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business goals.
- Proficiency in using CRM software to manage sales pipelines and client relationships.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required; or other relevant languages is a strong advantage.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong network within the specialty coffee or food and beverage sectors in KSA.
- Experience working with green coffee and a solid understanding of coffee production and supply chain dynamics.
- Coffee tasting and cupping experience
