Role overview
We are looking for a Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This includes researching and analyzing market trends, identifying potential customers and partners, and developing relationships to increase sales and profitability.
The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Marketing team to decide through local knowledge which marketing activations to focus investments on, as well as develop relationships with prospective customers for Calo Business.
This position requires flexibility and the ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and partners. Additionally, the Business Development Specialist should have a proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, such as partnerships and brand activation opportunities
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability on the identified segments starting with Calo Business but to be expanded as we develop
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers
- Research and analyze competitor activity
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and HQ Marketing Team to develop a plan
- Execute the activation and Calo Business plan developed
- Prepare and communicate new activation or business opportunities to the relevant stakeholders for approvals
- Provide a weekly report on progress and monitor the progress of existing business development initiatives
- Measure the effectiveness of executed business plans
- Manage and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the activations are executed to the highest standard

Requirements & Skills
- Emirati National
- Proven experience in a marketing activation or a business development role, preferably in the food industry
- Passion for food and the food industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of the local market
