Job Description:

T4 Program Summary:

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 4 to Parsons. Parsons is the prime contractor for this $1.3 billion+ contract. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) modernization efforts: Site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, CAD, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 400-500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.

Role:

This drafter prepares various drawings computer models of such units as construction projects or parts and assemblies, including various views, sectional profiles, irregular or reverse curves, hidden lines, and small or intricate details. Work requires use of most of the conventional drafting and CAD techniques and a working knowledge of the terms and procedures of the occupation. The Draft/CAD Operator III makes arithmetic computations using standard formulas. Familiar or recurring work is assigned in general terms. Unfamiliar assignments include information on methods, procedures, sources of information, and precedents to follow. Simple revisions to existing drawings or computer models may be assigned with a verbal explanation of the desired results. More complex revisions are produced from sketches, computer models or specifications that clearly depict the desired product.

Typical Assignments Include:

Preparing several views of a simple flight systems from a layout and manual references and obtaining dimensions and tolerances from manuals and by measuring the layout. Preparing and revising detail and design drawings for such projects as the construction and installation of electrical or electronic equipment, facility wiring, and assembly of printed circuit boards. Drawings typically include details of mountings, frames, guards, or other accessories; conduit layouts; or wiring diagrams indicating transformer sizes, and conduit locations. Drawing base and elevation views, sections, and details of new facilities or other structures, revising complete sets of project drawings for airport construction projects, or preparing civil maps, indicating utility line locations.

Specific Duties Are:

  • Able to incorporate engineer's markups.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to produce a multi engineering discipline drawing set.
  • Able to interpret and incorporate client's CAD standards
  • Proficient with AutoCAD.
  • Checks the validity of drawing content.
  • Ensures the proper filing of drawings in an EDMS environment.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Required Experience And Qualifications:


  • High school diploma is required.
  • Drafting and Design certification. preferred
  • Must be computer savvy and a fast learner.
  • 5 plus years of Computer Aided Drafting experience in AutoCAD product for 2- and 3-dimensional design and drafting are required.
  • Knowledge of ProjectWise is desired (a suite of software aimed at helping manage, find, and share CAD and geospatial content, project data, and Office documents).
  • Good oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, are prerequisites.
  • MicroStation and Revit experience is desired.
  • A security background check by the Federal Aviation Administration is required.

Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring Electrical Engineers with a desire to work on projects that change the fabric of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure design of HV, MV, and LV networks
  • Infrastructure design of Street Lighting
  • Preparation of engineering reports (Design Basis, Conceptual, Design Development, and Detailed Design) including calculations, specifications, and BOQ
  • Knowledge of local (SEC, TES, Aramco, MOMRA, Tarshid, MoT) and international standards (IEEE, NFPA, IESNA, BS EN)
  • Software skills in Autocad or Microstation, Dialux, Etap

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) and 5+ years of related work experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate may be required
  • Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
