Job purpose:
The role holder is responsible for providing Engineering services on A330-MRTT engine and APU maintenance. The role holder shall carry out the duties in accordance with the business policies and procedures.
Core Responsibility:
- Lead the technical support to the different departments, such as Programs, Maintenance, GSE and Materials, on all the engine and APU related topics (including troubleshooting);
- Preparation, Review and approval (from technical point of view) of engine and APU shop visit work scopes;
- Support in the evaluation and analysis of the borescope inspections and other scheduled engine and APU maintenance inspection results;
- Administration of engine health monitoring;
- Monitoring of the operation defect that might arise on the engine and APU launching the appropriate recommendation for the corrective actions;
- Definition and update of preventive maintenance requirements customized for RSAF MRTT engines and APUs, based on the manufacturer's recommendations and the specifics of the RSAF MRTT operations;
- Review and Ensure compliance with applicable airworthiness directives, service bulletins, vendor service bulletins, ALS requirements and other applicable documents to the extent focused on engines and APU applicable for the MRTT fleet;
- Monitor Engine / APU utilization and update of the engines / APU configuration as per inventory modification;
- Ensure engines and APU modification embodiment is reported to Airbus or vendors, as necessary;
Perform other works as required by the CAMO and Engineering Manager
Skills & Knowledge:
Decision making on engineering level.
Communication and negotiation skills in English language verbally and written
Ability to analyze and understand complex drawings
Job Requirement:
Bachelor Engineering degree from a recognized University
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles as applied to jet engines
In depth knowledge of commercial engines preferably GE CF6-80E1
10 years of relevant work experience in aviation (CAMO/MRO), of which minimum 5 years must be working in production engineering or powerplant engineering for Airbus A320/A330/A340 Family (preferably A330 MRTT) or any other Airbus Military platform (A400M).
