We are seeking an experienced Capital Projects Consultant to join a Food & Agriculture client of ours. You will play a pivotal role in setting up the operating model, governance structure, policies, and processes for the development office. Additionally, you will provide ongoing support to the Development Director in the day-to-day setup and management of the office once it is operational. While a background in Food and Agriculture is advantageous, it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the operating model, governance framework, policies, and procedures for the Development Office.
- Collaborate with the Development Director to define project scopes, objectives, and timelines.
- Oversee the feasibility assessment of capital projects within the food and agriculture space.
- Provide strategic guidance on project execution, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the establishment and maintenance of stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Support the Development Director in resource allocation, budget management, and reporting activities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in capital project management, with a focus on setting up operational structures and processes.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a track record of driving results in complex environments.
- Experience with the food and agriculture industry is advantageous but not essential.
